If you have ever felt this way,the Online Dojo is perfect for you.
Learn martial arts anytime,anywhere.
Here are a few feasons why the Onlone Dojo is right for you and what you can get out of it!
Compared to other sports, martial arts can be difficult to begin as few instructional books and general training methods are available. In addition, each sensei has his or her own teaching method, and training in accordance with that method is the norm in the world of budo.
Of course, following the guidance of a single sensei is a characteristic of budo, and it is a great way to deepen the bond between teacher and student.
On the other hand, learning about the teachings of others and the training methods they use may help you to improve your performance and learn techniques faster. While each martial arts has its own history, they are all very focused on a common theme - respect. They also carry with them the image of rigorous training and strict teachers. As a result, many people are hesitant to join a dojo.
However, many people who are involved in the martial arts say,
"I want to help people who want to learn!"
"I want to share my experience and skills with others"
"I want to share the greatness of the martial arts I have learned!"
Bridging the gap between these two wants of wanting to learn
martial arts and wanting to spread martial arts, is where the Online Dojo comes in.
Now, let us introduce you to what you can do with the Online Dojo!

Grow stronger
Since many techniques in budo focus on using the whole body, all the muscles in your body are trained. Of course, you must maintain good posture, which naturally strengthens your core.
In addition, by stepping hard and taking large ukemi (break falls), you put positive stress on your bones which gives you a stronger skeleton.
Many people who study martial arts maintain a good posture well into their old age!

You will learn communication skills
If you go to a dojo, you will see people of all ages, from small children to the elderly, practicing the same martial arts.
Everyone is practicing the same thing for different purposes, but the content of the training does not differ according to age. In the process, communication naturally takes place as people teach and discuss with each other.
Children are respectful towards adults, and adults choose their words carefully to communicate in an easy-to-understand manner. By speaking with each other in this way and taking care to think about each other’s situation on a regular basis, communication skills are honed!
No.1
You will begin to think about good courtesy
In martial arts, there is a saying that goes, "Practice starts with a bow and ends with a bow”.
Therefore, great importance is placed on the bow at first.
You bow many times during the course of a practice. You bow when you enter the dojo, you stop and do a standing or seated bow when you meet your teacher or fellow students, you bow at the beginning and end of practice, and you bow to your training partner.
When you are young and have just started martial arts, you perform the bow as a movement, but as we get older, we begin to think about the meaning of the bow. By thinking about and understanding this meaning, the way we treat others changes. By being polite, you will be blessed with good friendships.
There is no doubt that you will meet good people through martial arts and your life will be enriched!

My son joined a Kendo Club about three years ago. He is now able to participate in matches and is eager to practice.
However, he has not been able to win any matches, and out of frustration, he has started practicing on his own. Neither my husband nor I had any experience in Kendo, and we were having trouble knowing if his training was correct or not. That is when we found the Online Dojo. At first, I thought the level might be too high for my son, but there were videos for beginners that even my husband and I could understand. He now watches videos on my phone while practicing on his own and says he will be the best in Japan someday.
I wanted to practice for my promotion examination, but I could not attend training sessions due to the pandemic and I was getting anxious. I had my wife take videos of my practice at home with her
smartphone to check myself, but as I watched them over and over again, I couldn't tell what was right and what was wrong. When I was looking for demonstrations by Hanshi teachers, I found a Sugawara-sensei instructional video and immediately joined the Online Dojo.
Sugawara Sensei's videos gave me an opportunity to rethink my Iaido because his teachings start from the very fine details. When I participated in a training session for the first time in a while, my friends asked me if I had been practicing in secret. It seems that I had improved a little without
realizing it. I haven't taken the exam yet, but I will continue to attend the training sessions and the Online Dojo in order to pass the exam.
I have been practicing Karate since elementary school and am currently the captain of my university's Karate club. We participate in national tournaments, and in order to lead the club as a captain, I thought I needed to not only improve my own techniques but also deepen my understanding in order to teach my club members. I bought books and tried to read them, but I didn’t feel I got anything out of them. The Online Dojo has helped me a lot because I can understand faster than with books as it is explained by the athletes that I admire and famous teachers who show by example. I will continue to study with the Online Dojo to improve my own training and the level of the club in order to achieve our goal of competing in the National Championship.
I started aikido about five years ago at the invitation of a friend and now I look forward to going to practice every day. During practice, I learned about the All-Japan Aikido Embukai held at the Budokan and I was very excited to see the demonstrations by Doshu and Dojo-cho. The Online Dojo has instructional videos and interviews by the Dojo-cho, Mitsuteru Ueshiba, himself, and I was fascinated by his demonstrations and his personality. It might seem a little presumptuous, but my goal is to continue practicing and to be able to do a demonstration on the same mats as the Dojo-cho. I am grateful to my friend for inviting me to this wonderful martial arts, to the Online Dojo for making Aikido accessible, and to the Dojo-cho for carrying on the tradition of Aikido.
In closing
Through the Online Dojo, we wish to share the beauty of budo with everyone around the world. We hope that budo will continue to spread and develop, and that through budo people will be able to communicate with each other and create a peaceful world.
